The most budget-friendly option, pre-made covers are great for anyone looking for a quick, easy, and affordable cover solution. The title, author name, and optional tagline text will be edited to suit your needs on any available cover and make it your own.

Premade covers range in price from $65-125. Browse the Premades Shop or use the menu at the top to sort covers by genre. Once you’ve found the perfect cover, add it to your cart and checkout. On the checkout page, you will need to fill out the form with your relevant information, including author name, title, tagline text if you have it, or any small changes you would like (small edits, such as font or color changes, will be added at no additional charge, but larger edits, such as adding or removing elements, will come with a fee).

The cover will be edited within 72 hours and sent to the email you provide.

No refunds will be given after editing is complete, so if you need to cancel an order and get a refund, please contact me immediately.

Where do you get the photos in premade covers?

Images used in premade covers are stock photos from DepositPhotos and all uses of premade covers should comply with their licensing terms. Purchased stock photos are used for only one project. Premade covers are mockup samples to be finished and customized according to the needs of one client.

Will covers be sold only once?

YES! Your cover will be finished and customized just for you, and it will never be sold by me again.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t guarantee that the stock image itself is 100% exclusive. I won’t use it in another cover, but that doesn’t mean another designer can’t use it.

Can I reserve a cover for the future if I don't know the title yet? Can it be edited later if the title changes?

Absolutely! I save all files and can edit them whenever you’re ready. If you see a cover you love but aren’t sure of the details just yet go ahead and buy it, then contact me later and I will fix it up for you. Just let me know when purchasing that this is what you’re doing.

Likewise, if you change your title later let me know and I can edit the cover for you at no additional cost (the first time).

Can you make additional changes/special requests to premade covers?

Depending on what you want, sure. Minor color adjustments or little touches aren’t a problem. Adding or removing elements can be more complicated, so changes like these may have an extra fee. Just fill out the request portion of the form on checkout. I will email you and let you know if we need to discuss additional fees, but I will never bill you for extra work without talking to you first.

Please also note that certain special requests, particularly ones that come with an extra charge, may increase the usual turnaround time of 72 hours.

Can I edit the cover or add text myself?

No. I will not be providing the PSD file for editing, and I ask that you don’t make extra changes or adjustments on your own.  If you need anything, please Contact Me and I’ll be happy to help!

Can you create a series of covers based on a premade?

Most likely- it will depend a bit on the cover. Pricing will be in line with my custom cover options rather than premade pricing, so please contact me directly for a quote and to discuss availability. Mention the cover you’re considering, and we can figure something out.

Can a premade cover be used for print? Do you offer front/back designs?

Premade covers do not include a back cover, and are for ebooks only. If you would like to order a wrap design along with a premade, indicate that in the “additional information” box at checkout. Wrap designs cost an additional $100.

Do I have to credit you on my book?

No, you don’t have to. But I’d really appreciate it! Something as simple as “Cover Art by Rebecca Frank” is great. Adding a link to my website as well is even better: http://RebeccaFrank.design

What are your refund/cancellation policies?

If I have already edited and sent the file, I won’t issue a refund. If you contact me right away to cancel- before I start working- I will refund in full.

Beyond absolute emergencies, I won’t cancel a project. But if I do, I will issue a full refund, regardless of how much work I’ve completed. No exceptions.

With the basic eBook package, you’re looking for something fast and affordable. You choose a stock photo, and I’ll turn it into a great cover.

If you know exactly what photo you like but don’t have the knowledge, skill, or time to turn it into a book cover, or if you’re trying to figure out how to get a professional cover on a budget, this is a great choice. I’ll add color, text, and simple effects to your photo choice and turn a simple image into a beautiful cover.

Let me know what you want. Send me a few covers you like, let me know your genre, and let me know if you have any special coloring/text requests.

If the photo is from Shutterstock, send me a link. I will purchase it myself and include it in the cost. If it is from a different stock photo website, please purchase the image and email it to me.

Please allow around 1 week for the creation of basic covers. Because the process for this cover is more simplified than the premium package and the scheduling is more flexible, this package is limited to one revision.

Is this a worse option than the premium package?

No, not necessarily. The quality of Basic Package covers isn’t much different than the quality Premium Package covers. I still create them the same way and will combine photos as needed. The big difference between this package and the Premium package is the simplified revision process and the fact that you pick the main stock image(s) instead of me. The Premium Package includes four revisions, which allows a lot of back and forth. The Basic Package allows one revision. I do not recommend this package if you don’t trust me as an artist to come up with a great design for an image you choose. However, if you don’t mind spending some time to pick a stock photo and don’t think you’ll need many revisions, this is a great way to save some money, as well as get on my schedule if I’m otherwise too booked to accept new Premium Cover projects.

If I already have the image, why should I pay more for a simple design?

The simple answer? The peace of mind knowing you have a professionally designed cover. A professional cover will stand out in the crowd.

If you have the technical skill to add text and make your cover look good on your own, then of course you can do that! But there’s plenty more that goes into a good cover than adding text to a nice image, and I can help you make sure it looks professional with things like coloring, effects, and text styles.

Will I have to pay extra for stock fees?

I get stock photos from ShutterStock.com for my covers. Unless you need stock from elsewhere, stock cost is included. If you would like a photo from a different website, please purchase it and email it to me. I recommend against using images of your own unless you are a professional photographer (in which case, please include a signed release confirming that it is your work and I have permission to use it in your cover design). If images you send aren’t a high enough quality to work with, I will let you know.

Are there any restrictions on Shutterstock Photos?

You can find the full license agreement here: http://www.shutterstock.com/license

Keep in mind that if you sell over 500,000 copies, you must purchase the extended license for all photos on the cover.

By ordering a photo cover from me, you agree to abide by the Shutterstock licensing terms.

Can you make a print design?

Yes, definitely! Print designs cost an addition $100 and are created according to the specifications of your print on demand company. I do not create print designs until formatting is done and you have a final page count. If you don’t have this information ready at the time you order your cover, that’s fine – I usually need around a week’s notice to fit print designs for completed covers into my schedule. You can send this information at any time.

I am most familiar with CreateSpace, but have worked with Ingram Spark and Lightning Source occasionally. I’m willing to work with any printer as long as you provide me with the proper specifications.

Will you send multiple design concepts?

For the Basic package, not usually. You’ve already sent me the photo to use and told me what sort of design you want, so we should be able to work with a single concept and tweak it from there.

Do you have a limit on revisions?

The basic package is limited to one revision. If more revisions are needed, additional costs will apply.

Do I have to credit you on my book?

No, you don’t have to. But I’d really appreciate it! Something as simple as “Cover Art by Rebecca Frank” is great. Adding a link to my website as well is even better: http://RebeccaFrank.design

What are your refund/cancellation policies?

Please give at least a month’s notice if you need to cancel a project for a full refund. If I have already begun working, I will offer a partial refund based on work already completed. If the project is finished, I do not offer refunds.

Beyond absolute emergencies, I won’t cancel a project. But if I do, I will issue a full refund, regardless of how much work I’ve completed. No exceptions.

A beautiful, unique cover made just for your book with heavy stock manipulation and digital painting techniques.

Custom photo manipulation covers are created using stock images. I will send out a detailed questionnaire requesting information about your book, so please be as clear as possible about what you want! Descriptions of characters, environments, objects, etc, all help me get a clearer picture of your vision. If you would like to send one, I enjoy reading a small excerpt from your novel to get a feel for it. The more you provide, the more I have to work with.

If you pay the full cost up front, stock photos are included in the cost of the cover**.

Please expect around 2-3 weeks for photo manipulation covers to be completed unless we discuss otherwise when you contact me. This allows time for discussion as well as editing.

**My stock subscription is through ShutterStock, which has an extensive selection. I will find all necessary stock photos there, though if you’ve browsed and have specific suggestions/requests please feel free to mention them. If you have your heart set on a photo from a different stock site, it will not be included in the cost. In this case, please purchase your photo and send it to me for editing.

Can you make a front/back wrap around design?

Yes, definitely! Print designs cost an addition $100 and are created according to the specifications of your print on demand company. I do not create print designs until formatting is done and you have a final page count. If you don’t have this information ready at the time you order your cover, that’s fine – I usually need around a week’s notice to fit print designs for completed covers into my schedule. Will you send multiple design concepts?

This depends on the project brief, but usually yes. If you’re not totally sure what you want, I’ll always send multiple concepts. If you have a very straightforward brief, I may only send one or two to start with.

Do you have a limit on revisions?

There is a limit to four revisions for the premium design package. If revisions go above that number, we may need to discuss additional fees. Typically a cover design project takes around 2 weeks, depending on the project and communication. Projects with many revisions that take longer take extra time and can inconvenience other clients.

Will you prepare a CreateSpace PDF file?

Yes. This service is included with the design cost for the wraparound. Please let me know your page count, page color, and cover dimensions or provide me with the template.

If you don’t know the page count right now, that’s fine! We’ll do the eBook cover now, and work on the wrap once you know.

For covers created by me, I don’t mind doing for with no additional fee. Please provide me with your CreateSpace template based on your cover size and page count before we begin.

Do I have to credit you on my book?

No, you don’t have to. But I’d really appreciate it! Something as simple as “Cover Art by Rebecca Frank” is great. Adding a link to my website as well is even better: http://RebeccaFrank.design
